Install the app
Memberley installs straight from the browser. Add it to a home screen and it gets its own icon, opens full screen with no address bar, and stays signed in — the same way a downloaded app behaves.
There is nothing to fetch from the App Store or Play Store, and nobody ever has to update it. Everyone is always on the current version.
iPhone and iPad
Section titled “iPhone and iPad”Safari only — Chrome and Firefox on iOS can’t add to the home screen.
- Open your club’s Memberley page in Safari.
- Tap the Share button in the toolbar.
- Scroll down and choose Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add.
Android
Section titled “Android”- Open Memberley in Chrome.
- Tap Install when Memberley offers it — from the banner on your member home, or from Install app in the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar.
- Confirm, and the icon lands on your home screen.
Chrome may also offer this from its own ⋮ menu as Install app or Add to Home screen.
Desktop
Section titled “Desktop”In Chrome or Edge, use Install app in the account menu, or the install icon at the right-hand end of the address bar. Memberley then opens in its own window, separate from your browser tabs — useful for a front-desk computer that stays on the check-in screen all day.
Safari on macOS installs through File → Add to Dock.
What members get
Section titled “What members get”- One tap to the things they use — book a court, pay dues, pull up their check-in code at the gate.
- Their club’s icon, not a browser bookmark.
- A page that still opens offline with a “you’re offline” screen instead of a browser error, so a weak signal at the pool looks like a hiccup rather than a broken link.
Members stay signed in between visits, so there’s no password to re-enter at the gate.
Telling members about it
Section titled “Telling members about it”Members who open Memberley on a phone see a one-line prompt on their home screen offering to install it, which they can dismiss for good. After that, it stays available under Install app in the account menu.
Worth a line in your season welcome email or a note at the gate on opening weekend — most people don’t think to install a website unless someone tells them they can.
